' I'm bloody rich! '
A little under three weeks from now, I will officially be self-employed. Diving head-first into full-time freelance audio has been a dream of mine for many years, and it’s finally coming to fruition. At last, I’ve decided it was time to stop working for someone else and start building my own career.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared as hell. There’s some undeniably strong competition out there, some of which puts my past work to shame: no doubt, I’ll have to take my skills “to the next level” in order to compete. Fortunately, I have the advantage of knowing the quality of my work is limited only by experience, and will to keep pushing myself to make the absolute best recordings I physically can. I’m confident that with each project, I’ll get closer to being able to make things sound exactly how I want them to. And how exactly do I want my work to sound? Fucking awesome, that’s how.
Looking forward, I have a few projects coming up that I’m really excited about. Hopefully I’ll do them justice!
